American artist Leslie Furlong is a photographer and video artist exploring the subject of the ever-transforming landscape and its psychological interpretive effect in shaping our perceptions.
She received a B.A. in Photography from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been exhibited nationally: Bridge Art Fair Miami, Corcoran Museum of Art, Baltimore Museum of Art, Bradbury Gallery, and internationally at The Berliner Liste. Locally she has displayed her work at the C. Grimaldis Gallery, Maryland Art Place, Goucher's Rosenberg Gallery and the Contemporary Museum. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artists Awards. In addition to her experimental video works and photography she has participated in public art projects and non-fiction documentary work.
